CARE

Every ACCESSARI piece is precious and should be treated as such. All jewelry, even the most precious, requires basic care. To keep your jewelry looking lustrous and new, here are a few simple instructions to keep in mind, no-matter if it is a Necklace, Cuff, or even a Tasbih Bracelet! We provide you with the basic care instructions you need to ensure your engraved accessory stays looking like new no-matter how long ago you purchased it!

1.Beauty products first, then accessories

Lotions, hairspray and some cosmetics have chemicals in them that can harm or tarnish your precious jewelry. To keep your jewelry looking its best, keep it out of harm’s way by putting it on after you do your makeup, hair and other beauty regimens.

2. Jewelry and pools don’t mix

Everyone loves a cool dip in the swimming pool on a hot summer day. But pools and Jacuzzi's are full of chlorine, which can discolor your jewelry if exposed too long. So play it safe: When you’re hopping into the pool, take your jewelry off.

3. Be smart about safekeeping

Properly storing your jewelry will do wonders for keeping every piece looking new. Keep your customized jewelry in a box or container where it won’t get tangled up with other items or dinged up from too much movement. A jewelry box with a soft felt lining is a great idea, but you can even line a simple shoe-box with fabric to keep your items nestled safely. Anti-tarnish strips are also a great investment to keep out oxidants than can tarnish and dull your pieces over time.

4. Rub a dub dub, no jewelry in the tub

Even-though you can totally take a bath with your ACCESSARI piece, note that some soaps and shampoos could do a number on your jewelry if they also have chemicals in them. Spending too much time in the shower or tub with harsh soaps and other beauty products can cause a film to form over precious metals, dulling the sheen and diminishing its gorgeous shine.

NOTE:

All jewelry can eventually tarnish, but your best defense is to be vigilant and properly care for your items. At ACCESSARI, we recommend that you give your gold or silver jewelry a quick clean at the end of the day, using a soft cleaning cloth, to remove any fingerprints or oils that may have accumulated from normal wear. And once a week, we recommend a more deep clean — use a simply mix of 1/2 cup warm water with a few squirts of mild liquid soap, and let your jewelry soak for three minutes. Then remove your items, rinse with clean water, and allow the jewelry to dry. That’s it!
